Kenny is an author, adventure enthusiast, Father, “Pa Pa”, generous family man and active member of the community. Kenny also lives with PTSD and raises awareness for others struggling through all his endeavours.
Kenny has already competed in many Marathons, Ultra Marathons, Iron Man Triathlons, Mountain Bike Races and Swims (ocean, pool and ultra-distance). To top it off he has trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp, rode his Mountain Bike from Darwin to Broome in 21 days and completed the 200km Annapurna Circuit from Besisahar to Pokhara Trek.
We met with Kenny in June and were inspired by his resilience and determination to overcome his own journey through sexual abuse. We felt especially honoured to take a moment to be surrounded by Kenny’s positive energy. We learnt how Kenny prepares for his grand adventures and what he does in his down time. “I do a lot of drawings, illustrations for my books, and art therapy – simple stuff really.”
Kenny has a book titled No Defence and is the “inspirational, heartfelt memoir of one man’s extraordinary courage and determination to overcome appalling childhood abuse to create a life for himself full of personal achievement, love, generosity, incredible physical challenges and amazing feats of ultra-endurance.”
Kenny is a very giving man with his time, energy and efforts despite being so busy with many incredible projects. We hope you will take a moment to visit his website to read more on Kenny and learn how you can help too. There is an option to donate to The Bravehearts Foundation or Sponsor his next adventure.
